Maddie

Shannan's daughter, Maddie, passed away this afternoon. I can't even imagine how this last year plus has been for them - waiting for a transplant, all the time knowing that she might not make it - and then to make it so long - and for Maddie, who was living a mostly normal life in the hospital, probably not aware of how precarious her life was. Life is fragile.
