Random Musings

This morning, on the way to work, there were 8 meter maids driving in a row - all lined up like baby geese - driving very, very, VERY slowly up a hill. They were like gooslings - and the last one was a car - like the mama meter maid - pushing them up the hill in search of a hotbed of parking violators.

The construction faeries were hard at work last night - the hill is now completely surrounded by metal fence, there is a full size, mega digger truck at the base, and people in neon orange vests wandering around. A few lone crows are wandering in the grass, completely oblivious to the destruction to come. Would anyone like to vote on when this whole monstrosity will be completed?

And finally - why is every, single, itty, bitty thing I try to do at work met with such resistance? Can't someone just at some point say "okay" or "sure" rather than "why?" or turf it to some committee for discussion and gatekeeping? It makes me really tired. It's like every path I go down ends up with detours, boulders, electric fences. I mean, at a certain point, why bother?

I'm glad the weekend starts soon.
